The Gallery Biography (HIDE)
THE GALLERY is a ROCK'N'ROLL band from Southampton, Hampshire.
The band was formed in March '08 by the Catelli brothers, Carlo & Lucas, when they decided to play some of their tunes around Basingstoke's local open mics and pubs. In the beginning they started off only as a guitar & drums duo but soon joined forces with Ben Rooke on vocals and later on Ben Webb on the drums, to create the best promise in the indie rock scene for this year. THE GALLERY is influenced by top britpop bands such as Oasis, The Verve, Kasabian, The Stone Roses, however, they're doing a completely new kind of sound mixing it together with a lot of other styles, creating a fresh, original, melodic, yet powerful sound. The group is quite young but has already spent the whole year touring all around Hampshire and the South playing at remarkable venues and clubs such as The Joiners, Talking Heads, The Hamptons, Railway Inn and Purple Turtle in London. The next year already sounds very promising for the band as they have gigs booked in bigger and important venues such as The Southampton Guildhall, Monto Water Rats in London, also at the Moho in Manchester and many others. And the band is also planning to release their self-recorded and produced EP in the beginning of next year and keep touring, promoting their sound to new crowds, and getting more and more fans across the country. THE GALLERY plays honest music, straight from the heart, with passion, confidence, for real people and is doing something that was really missing in the recent music scenario.
