Recent successes in the toto chart have brought Ian Edwards to a noticeable platform that previous topoftheox artists have graced including Stornoway, Kevin McGowan, Max and Serotonin. With sounds reminiscent of the greats by Chris de burgh fused with a newer and more modern feel typical of James blunt, Ian Edwards really cuts it. This week I read a tweet saying:

“MUSICIANS: IGNORE SEO. Unless you're a professional, you will waste your time”

This struck quite a chord because I’ve seen just how powerful SEO can be when it comes to marketing music; especially for developing artists who haven’t built a strong fan base yet.

For those of you going “whaaa?” SEO stands for search engine optimisation and it is the process of making your website, photos and videos receive more views by making them rank higher on search engines.

Singer and Songwriter Adam Dawson has released his latest single "Lazy Susan" on iTunes worldwide.

Right from the very beginning of this song his fans will be instantly transported to 60's pop memories. In terms of songwriting and production bands like The Beatles and Eagles spring to mind. However, "Lazy Susan" would be a top notch pop song in any decade's style.

Despite reaching the number 1 position in the toto charts 'Bye Bye' by Mr Keith Fellows has the makings of greatness. Keith tells an honest story holding nothing back.
