TopoftheOx terms and conditions 2009-2010   
 

1. TopoftheOx will retain your registration data and send you weekly emails and other promotions emails from time to time in the interest of the artists. TopoftheOx have special deals with our sponsors that we will offer only to artists competing in the competition.
2. TopoftheOx will not sell or share your information or allow use directly from other third party sources
3. TopoftheOx retains the right to disqualify any artists it finds in breach of the terms and conditions
4. TopoftheOx reserves the right to use your music in the promotion of your music submitted to the competition. Songs may appear on TV, radio and be played on other sites. Your music will not be available for the public to download
5. You agree to allow TopoftheOx to share your contact details with the press to promote your music
6. Information on voting will be clearly visible. Only votes actually received will be counted
7. Artists agree to upload only original music. If re-mixes are submitted they must come with the permission of the songwriter (original artist). This may be requested in writing at any time during the competition. Covers may be submitted but premission from the original artists may be needed
8. Artists agree to automatically enter a sing chart that they entered
9. The winner in each chart is the artist with the song that generates the most votes each week
10. Any action deemed to be cheating by TopoftheOx or an act of aggression to other artists may result in suspension or deletion from the site at any stage
11. Winning bands will engage in good communication with TopoftheOx to obtain their prizes. TopoftheOx will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible
12. Bands can enter different songs in different charts but votes are specific for each chart
13. Bands can enter as many songs as they like
14. All prizes are donated by the sponsors of TopoftheOx. Should a sponsors business go into administration or cease to exist the prize may be withdrawn and TopoftheOx has no responsibility for the withdrawal of the prize. TopoftheOx will make every effort to replace the prize like for like where possible
15. All prizes are subject to change at any time and may increase in quantity or decrease in quantity
16. You may edit your page at any time and entrys may be deleted. You may re-instate the song in the chart
17. Artists and bands agree not to be judgmental on their pages about other competing artists. They agree to use suitable ‘clean’ language on their TopoftheOx profile page
18. Artists may only add gigs from their own band. Gig information should be as accurate as possible. TopoftheOx retains the right to promote your gig or delete it on TopoftheOx’s website if you break any Terms and Conditions
19. Special prizes will be awarded to weekly winners on selected weeks
20. The Toto chart and the talent tour chart are independent charts and have different sponsorship
21. Any attempt to hack or break the website will result in withdrawal of the competition and legal action
22. When songs are selected to air on our associated radio stations the station has the right to refrain from playing any track it feels is unfit for its audience regardless of its position in the chart. Offensive language is not recommended within your song
23. Slander of other acts in the chart must not occur during any PR campaign of your song in the chart
24. The terms and conditions of the competition may change from time to time in order to maintain fairness of the charts. By taking part and agreeing to this condition you agree to abide by the latest terms and conditions which will be kept up to date on the website
